Store speed
WooCommerce has a reputation for being slow, but usually the bottleneck is not WooCommerce itself: it is heavy product photos, thirty plugins and missing caching.
That is handled from the start: images in the right format and size, caching with sensible exclusions for cart and checkout, and a minimum of third-party scripts. More in why WooCommerce is slow.
Working with an existing store
If the store already exists, the usual jobs look like this:
- speed up the catalogue and product pages;
- move the theme off a builder onto a custom one without losing rankings;
- add the functionality that is missing;
- fix what broke after an update;
- sort out the mobile experience.
To estimate a store I need three things: roughly how many products, whether they have variations, and which payment and shipping methods you need. That is enough to give a timeline.
